The 1945 Heritage Dopp Kit is more than a travel accessory; it’s a piece of our family history. Our family has been immersed in the American leather industry since 1945, passing down the technical secrets of the trade for nearly 80 years. This specific design was born when my brother, a frequent traveler, challenged us to build a kit that could withstand a lifetime of baggage carousels and hotel counters. Today, we manufacture it in our New England workshop as a gift to our customers.

The Anatomy of Excellence

We believe a product is only as good as its weakest point. That’s why we’ve eliminated the fillers and focused on the "Big Three" of leather manufacturing:

100% Full-Grain USA Leather: Most dopp kits use "genuine" leather or fabric liners to hide imperfections. We use substantial, full-grain hides that breathe, age beautifully, and naturally resist the moisture of a bathroom environment.

The RIRI Zipper: We’ve equipped this kit with a RIRI zipper, Swiss-engineered and globally recognized as the highest-end zipper in the world. While most manufacturers cut costs here, we use RIRI to ensure a smooth, snag-free pull that lasts for decades.

T-135 Bonded Nylon Thread: We use the same high-tensile industrial thread found in our custom leather patch hats. It won’t rot or break, even when the kit is packed to capacity.
